Swimming Pool Inspiration – Shades of blue

When it comes to pool colours, there are no limits.  Creating a pool that showcases “blue” water is certainly trending for 2025 and we’re pretty happy about it!

While pool tiles come in many colours, there are countless shades of blue in glass or ceramic, in different shapes and patterns; glossy, shiny and matte. You’re basically spoilt for choice.

Blue Reflects the Sky

Many pool owners choose blue because it mirrors the sky, making the pool appear beautifully blue on a clear day.

It Looks Tropical

Most would agree there’s nothing better than going on vacation and lounging by the pool or dipping your toes into blue ocean water on a golden beach. 

Blue water screams ‘vacation and relaxation’.

Blue Looks Cleaner

Blue is popular because it appears cleaner than other colours. Of course, pools of any colour are surely clean, but perception is everything, as was demonstrated during the Rio Olympics ‘green pool’ incident.

People simply feel better about a blue pool.

White Tiles Work Too

Blue tiles will obviously make a pool look bluer, but some pool owners opt for white or marbled tiles. 

A white pool floor will still reflect a blue sky and the water will appear magnificently blue.

Many pool owners are loving the aesthetics of a white, marbled or light grey pool tile.

Paired with light-grey pavers, the perfect modern elegance can be created.
