Swimming Pool LIGHTING

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOOD POOL AND A GREAT POOL CAN COME DOWN TO SWIMMING POOL LIGHTING. A POOL THAT ILLUMINATES AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY IS ONE WORTH SHOWING OFF TO YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Swimming pool lighting serves as both a functional and aesthetic purpose and comes highly recommended to provide you with a safe and well-lit place to swim, no matter the time of day. Whether you fancy a night time dip or you like to swim laps in the early hours of the morning, we will ensure the pool is well lit and easy to use!

Types of Swimming Pool Lighting

Surface mounted pool lights

Surface mounted pool lighting is typically installed on the side of the pool and quite often protrude out into the pool, depending on the make and model.

Due to the lights sticking out, one of the downsides to a surface mounted light is the potential for swimmers to accidently hit or kick them while playing underwater.

The main advantage to surface mounted lighting is the amount of light they give off due to not being installed inside the wall. This also makes them easier to set up and also fix if there are any issues. They can also be easily installed in concrete, fibreglass and vinyl pools.

Underwater Pool Lights

Underwater lights are installed directly into the pool wall or floor, providing consistent illumination throughout the water.

  • LED underwater lights are the most popular choice due to their energy efficiency and longevity. They also offer up a wide range of colour options for a bit of fun in the water.
  • Halogen lights offer brighter illumination and a longer lifespan and provide an efficient option before you make the move to LED.
  • If you’re looking for ways to reduce your energy consumption, why not head down the path of solar lighting. While they are environmentally friendly and cost-effective, solar lights may not be as bright or reliable as other options, especially on cloudy days or in areas with limited sunlight.

Floating pool lights

Add a bit of colour or pizazz to your pool with floating lights which can be placed directly into the water to light it up.

Floating lights are often powered by batteries or solar panels and can be easily moved around the pool as needed.
